Kathryn Brennan Gallery, formerly Sister, is pleased to announce an exhibition of new work by artist Jeni Spota. For Spota's second exhibition with the gallery, the artist has created a series of four paintings, which combine her unique visual language with references to the ornate frames of paintings and borders in architecture of the early Italian Renaissance. Spota's approach manifests itself in a variety of ways, varying from the hyper-literal to the abstract allowing the artist to explore her materials and technique in a variety of new ways.
